Graphite Galore

The humble pencil is a familiar and easy tool to use. With a little practice, one can produce lovely lettering and enhancing illustrations and accents.

Supply list:

    Pencils: #2 or HB

    Easer: white vinyl

    Ruler

    Pencil sharpener

    Copy/computer paper or whatever you have for practice

    3/4 inch blue painters tape (low tack) or drafting tape

    Optional: (bring only if you have the following):

     2H, 2B, 4B and/or carbon pencils;  Mono Zero (thin) eraser;  small paper stumps/tortillons; any other graphite tools you enjoy using, including water soluble graphite pencils, along with a water brush or #6 watercolor brush and water container.

At 11:00 a.m., people who are interested in continuing SDFC in some format after June 30, 2019, are welcome to meet, discuss their ideas and formulate a plan. .

NOTE: You must RSVP by Tuesday, April 9, if you plan to attend this meeting.

General Meeting Information

SDFC usually meets from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon on the second Saturday of each month, September through June. Check our website and meeting notices to be sure. Our meetings are friendly and informative with guest speakers, displays, and activities. All are welcome, whether or not you’re a member. Please join us for good times!

Location and Directions

Location: San Diego Education Association Conference Room, 10393 San Diego Mission Road Suite 100, San Diego, California, 92108. (There is no phone available at our meeting site.)

Directions: Take Friars Road to Rancho Mission Road (just east of I-15), turn south. Proceed to the intersection at the bottom of the hill. Turn right (west) onto San Diego Mission Road. Turn left into the first driveway past the shopping center. The parking lot is behind the building.
