Presented by Ellen Mott-Jablonski and other SDFC members
Envelopes and art took center stage at the October meeting led by SDFC Vice-President, Ellen Mott-Jablonski with sharing from all who were present.
We saw envelope collections from members who cannot bear to part their inspired works of art, to inspire and some blank envelopes to use as new ideas were presented.
We learned about new and old materials, including webbing spray, hot foil pens, and Fineline Applicator bottles. We even made stencils with a hot glue gun. Some super good ideas were using paraffin to waterproof envelope art, using Zig markers to hold nibs, and writing on removable tape then rearranging those marks on an address line. Although we all have blank envelopes to spare, we couldn’t resist hearing about the WeR Template Envelope punch board and all the embossing kits and envelope makers Wendy Telford and Karen Corvan shared.
We each then drew a name and promised to send that person a newly decorated envelope.
